Richard Feldman, MBA, MSW, is the Director of Business Development. He has over twenty-five years of progressively responsible experience and achievement in hospital administration. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, customer service, leadership and management, clinical operations, physician relations, revenue development, and reimbursement. Richard has worked as a Hospital CEO for Ardent Health Services, Vice President for Business Development for First Hospital Corporation, and Regional Director for Mental Health Management, earning awards for outstanding leadership, clinical excellence, and franchise expansion.

   

Jean Hubbard, MSN, RN, is a Clinical Operations Consultant. She has more than 25 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, including as a Director of Clinical Services and Director of Nursing for a freestanding psychiatric hospital. Jean also has held management positions in federal, state, and county non-profit psychiatric facilities. She has designed and implemented adult inpatient dual diagnosis and general adult programs, partial hospitalization, geriatric inpatient and outpatient programs, adolescent inpatient programs and child programs. She has participated in federal, state and JCAHO regulatory reviews and has developed performance improvement plans for all range of behavioral health services. Jean is a valuable clinical resource to ensure our client programs and hospitals meet all patient, payer source and regulatory needs.

   

Kathryn Abernethy, BSN, RN, is a Clinical Operations Consultant. She has worked in both for profit and not for profit healthcare systems, including acute care hospitals, freestanding psychiatric facilities and residential programs. Kathryn has served as a Director of Nursing, Clinical Coordinator, Nurse Manager, PI, QA and CQI leader, and as an Emergency Room RN as a provider of triage, intake, assessment, admission and referral services. She is certified in crisis prevention and restraint reduction, and a published author in the Journal of Nursing Quality Assurance regarding patient satisfaction as an indicator of quality outcomes. Kathryn's experience in administration, management, program development, teaching and direct care provides our clients with the skills required to develop and maintain behavioral health clinical services that meet licensing, accreditation and regulatory standards.

   

Kelvin Drawdy, B.S., is a Revenue Cycle Operations Consultant. He has more than 25 years of experience in hospital and health system business office functions and physician practice management. Kelvin’s expertise includes development and implementation of front-end and back office revenue cycle services, resulting in improved collections, cash flow, and compliance with government and commercial payer requirements. Prior to his work with The CawleyJohnson Group, Kelvin served, among other positions, as Revenue Cycle Services Director for Perot Systems’ Physician Services Division and Vice President of Business Office Operations for Healthcare Financial Advisors. He is a frequent contributor to articles pertaining to relevant issues which impact physician practices today, and is a featured speaker for the Healthcare Financial Management Association on such topics as A/R Management, Capitation and the Impact on Business Office Operations, and Worker’s Compensation.

   

Robert McCartney, MSW, is the Regional Operations Director. He has over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field as both an administrator and clinician. His management experience includes work in partial hospitalization programs, residential treatment facilities, freestanding psychiatric hospitals, and contracted behavioral health units in acute care hospitals. Rob has served as a CEO, Program Director, Vice President of Behavioral Health and Regional Director of Marketing. He attributes his success as a healthcare executive to a focus on the development of professional teams that provide quality clinical services in a safe environment, are survey ready and offer a positive contribution to the organization’s culture and bottom line.
